A wonderful journey from past to present. I loved Paul telling how they felt arriving in NY and Shea and the splicing in of old film with the 2009 concert was fabulous! For all of us who lived through that era but were never privy to attend any of their performances this is a real keepsake.
The band is very talented and in many cases their musicality is better than the original band. To be fair, it may be that the sound is so good compared to the almost primitive stuff used in the 60s that there is no comparison. But these guys are giving their all for Paul and it must be an unreal experience being able to play with such a legend.
As a former drummer who had a band in those days, I couldn't help but bring out the sticks and play along. There are a lot of softer moments that play to Paul's old fashioned side, but when he wants to turn it on, he can still ROCK!
For a Baby Boomer like me or young kids curious about the Beatles, this will give you a glimpse of history and a mix of the present. There may not be many more nights and albums like this, as Paul won't be around forever. But yes Paul we still love you when you're 64 ( or 65 or 66....)!

I purchased this for my boss, who is a HUGE McCartney fan. He missed the televised show, so it worked out as a perfect gift. He said that it was great and he really enjoyed it.

Paul McCartney's voice is crystal clear and delivers a fantastic performance, even going up into his falsetto at times. The criticisms of his voice in relation to his age are really bugging me. Singing LIVE is different than a recording studio people. Same ole Paul McCartney voice, even at the ancient age of 67. The new songs are incredible.....such a talented guy.
