Product Description There's more to going to the movies than seeing the movie itself - it's the popcorn! Now, with the Whirley Pop Popcorn Maker, you can make fluffy, delicious popcorn just like you get at the theater. The stay-cool hardwood handle turns the stainless steel paddle inside, preventing scorching and burning, and making certain every kernel pops up like it should. The steam vents on top allow moisture to escape so the popcorn is always light and tender. Much quicker than microwaving, the popper makes up to 6 quarts and comes with a 25 year warranty. Also included with the popper is 1 popcorn packets (each one making up to 6 quarts) and "secret ingredient" flavoring packets that give the popcorn that movie-popcorn taste. The popper also comes with a recipe book for more popcorn flavor ideas.Pan is made of aluminum and the lid is made of stainless steel and aluminum.
Amazon.com Review Face it, sometimes the best thing about going out to a movie is the popcorn, those big plump kernels that always seem so much better than what you pop at home. But this simple stovetop popper changes all that. It really does make awesome, fresh-popped corn that might make you start renting videos instead. The sturdy aluminum pan has a clip-on lid with a stay-cool wooden handle. A turn crank on the handle spins the key element: the stainless steel stirring system that keeps the corn moving across the bottom of the pan, for even heat and oil distribution, ensuring the best popping results. The lid has steam vents, to help keep the popcorn dry and crisp. The enclosed booklet is a wonderful resource, with not only clear and detailed instructions, but also dozens of recipes and popcorn history and lore. These are folks who really do know their popcorn, and the results are outstanding. --Cynthia Nims

GREAT once you adapt to the cooking style August 28, 2010 gazellle (kcmo usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love using my Whirley Pop.... I eat popcorn almost daily; I have used many methods since my vintage electric unit went out and I like this the best; it makes a full pot of perfect fluffy, crisp popcorn using little oil and leaving virtually no duds.
You must be careful to follow the instructions or you might have issues like an overflowing pan, too much oil or burning but if you are attentive to the instructions, you get a perfect pop every time. I even use mine for kettle corn and get great results. I was a little leary of the nylon gears but have not had any issues so far:)
great machine August 21, 2010 einahpets This is a great way to make delicious popcorn with less oil/butter/salt than regular microwave kind. Very easy, very delicious!
RIP OFF August 20, 2010 Star Anderson (Jersey) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Complete rip off! The bottom burns and you can't pop ordinary popcorn in the thing. It says it has a 25 year warranty, but when I contacted customer service, they refused to replace or refund it! Ridiculous, what's the purpose of registering for the warranty.
WONDERFUL! August 20, 2010 flutterbys My Dad makes popcorn on the stove with a big heavy pan. I am simply not strong enough to shake the pan. I wanted a the taste (becuase there is nothing better) and I didn't want the chemicals in microwave popcorn. So this is the PERFECT solution. I love that the popcorn is ALWAYS perfect, never burnt, is fresh, tastes wonderful. I also love that warranty. This is the way to go!
Great product, cheap healthy snack! August 19, 2010 Kristy M. Moon (Carmichael, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this popper! I found it at a thrift store two years ago, and used it heavily. In just a few minutes in the morning, it creates a very inexpensive and healthy snack for my kids' lunch boxes. I've used it to make mountains of kettle corn for preschool class snacks and soccer teams. I was disappointed when the lid got mishandled and the lid's hinge broke, but I felt I had got much more than my money's worth of high quality delicious popcorn from this slightly dented trusty pot. Before ordering a new one, I decided to call customer service and ask if I could buy a replacement lid. For just $8, a new lid is on its way! I couldn't be more pleased.
